“3 Step has a run time exactly 1 minute, is light and easy and is suitable as a Recital starter or even as a little Encore.
In common with other pieces in this series, “3 Step” is intended for a Woodwind Quintet with Trumpet substituted for French Horn. Its title comes from it being the third item in this series, that it is based on the first three notes of the major scale and is in 3/4 time.
The Oboe Part could be played by another flute or even a Bb Clarinet.
The Bb Clarinet can also be played on an Alto Saxophone.
(parts are provided).
Naturally the Bassoon part is within the grasp of a ‘Cello.
